Meet Our Team
The STEM Ed Network offers programs that integrate science and mathematics scholarship with education, laboratory projects, and pedagogical research. Our teaching majors, which are part of the TUteach program, are full science majors that include pedagogy and field experiences. Students completing one of these majors have two full credentials: a baccalaureate degree in the STEM discipline and a Pennsylvania Level I teaching certificate.
STEM majors and TUteach students have many opportunities to participate in STEM internships on campus and in our community. Programs for in-service teachers include advanced workshops, technology-infused STEM instruction, continuation of professional education, and more.
In addition, the STEM Ed Network runs a variety of STEM-focused programs for kids and young adults from Kindergarten to 12th grade. These include summer camps (residential or not) as well as programs that take place during the academic year to enrich student understanding and stimulate further interest in STEM.
These programs are housed in the Allegra Family Math & Science Teacher Education Center. Come visit us in Gladfelter Hall on Main Campus to meet our faculty and master teachers!
